A blend of folk, rock, funk, Wajah and the Free People brings a unique energy to their performances throughout Rochester. Formed in fall of 2023 the band started as a trio and has grown into a six piece band. Lead singers Noah and Emmanuel began writing songs together as teens. After five years of songwriting, they have teamed up with Kyle Hall (bass guitar), Nick Spinelli (Piano/Organ), Mac Doherty (Saxophone) and Nelson Golden (Drums) to give their music new life.
Their earliest tracks recorded were heavy filled with 70s acoustic rock influence. From layered harmonies in the single “You Can’t See” to the folk style fiddle playing in the band's first single “Spooky Song,” Wajah has evolved and improvised in their songwriting.
Wajah and the Free People released will debut two singles in April of 2025 that captures the new essence of the band and treat fans to the same high energy vibes that come with live performances.
